I go to Mt. Karamatsu as usual.

Day 5
Mt. Karamatsu 7:10-11:00
Distance today 10.8km, climb 913m, duration 3:49, avg speed 2.8km/h, burned 856kcal

Started at 7:10 at HappoIke hut.

Arriving at HappoIke lake in 30 minutes as usual.

The visibility is very poor. I go straight without stopping by the lake.

Ougi snow valley in 55 minutes.

The pace seems same as usual.

Karamatsu hut in 1 hour 25 minutes.

Arriving at the peak in 1 hour 31 minutes.

The duration is very very close to 1 hour half. It's a  shame.

Mt. Goryu.

The clouds make good layout.

Mt. Tsurugi is almost behind the clouds.

The network connection was poor due to the heavy traffic at the peak, and I had to spend 20 minutes.
I left the peak at 9 am.

On the way back it took longer as I had to wait for people ascending. I passed by many parties with more than several tens.

I stopped by the lake on the way back.

The summits are still behind the clouds, but they make nice reflection.

The trail is filled with people.

It took 2 hours on the way back.

Today we left Tokyo in the morning and stopped by Shinanomachi, and came to Hakuba late afternoon.
I go riding before sunset.

It started raining before I arrive to the pass, but I kept riding as the goal was close.

It took 38 minutes. I could not change SPD pedals and the tires were fat.

I got back very shortly as it was raining a lot.

The longer day light allows me the short ride.

Two years ago, I walked on the right ridge line all the way.

Nice boardwalk.

Mt. Yukikura has round shape from Hakuba side, but it looks steep from Toyama side.

Arrived at Mt. Yukikura at 9 am, in 2 hours 50 minutes while the standard duration is 4 hours 20 minutes.
The view was poor due to the clouds.

Nice sunny morning in Hakuba.

Going trekking with tent stay since two years ago.

Renge-Onsen spa.

I have been here for many times, but never been by car.

The parking lot at the hut was full, and we parked the car before the bridge.
Started at 9:10.

The bridge before the hut. I have seen much snow on the bridge in the snow season.
It looks very strange to me.

The washroom was rebuilt.

The hut.

We could not come here this spring.
The hut without snow also looks very strange to me.

We walked down on very slippery boardwalk at Hyobanotaira, and came down to the bridge over Setogawa river.

Nice boardwalk after Kamoshika-saka.

Beautiful day lilies.

We have skied down here.

We found our pace was much faster than the standard duration.

Although we slowed down, we passed Hanazono point at noon in 3 hours while the standard duration is 3 hours 50 minutes.

Shirokouchi at 13:15.
Mt. Asahi finally appears through the fog.

We took a long break here.

There was the snow before the peak.

Arrived at Mt. Asahi at 3pm in 4 hours 50 minutes, while the standard duration is 6 hours 30 minutes.

Another long break.

Arrived at Asahi hut at 4 pm.

The camp site was smooth with much space.

Coffee break.

The sun appears through the clouds just before the sunset.

Nice sunset.
