Taiwan -day 1- In Taipei

It's been 2 two years since I visited Taiwan.

This time I came alone on the first day. I chose a cheep flight between Narita and Taoyuan operated by Delta. The airplane was 747, but a personal video screen is installed.
I did not feel the flight boring.

Next morning.

I attempted to take breakfast at a soy milk restaurant, Fùhángdōujiāng.

This is a very much popular restaurant and this long cue must be more than 30 minutes.
I gave up and went to McDonald's.

It is still challenging to me because I have to order in Chinese.

After the breakfast I went to the National Palace Museum.

I have been here before, but this time I wanted to spend more time with my own pace.

It took more than 15 minutes to see the famous jade, Jadeite Cabbage with Insects and Meat-shaped stone. Then I relaxed more to see the other exhibitions.

In the afternoon my wife arrived.

We took a late lunch at Du Hsiao Yueh.

Then we visited a tea trader for my wife's interest.

For dinner we took Knife-cut noodles.

The place, YongKangJie, was a little inconvenient to approach. We had to use a taxi, but finally a subway line became available (Dengmen station).

I am glad to get there easily.

After the dinner we went to Suanglian for dessert.

Guzaoweidouhua, the name of the menu and the store as well.

Suanglian is famous for its night market.

I wanted to pick some but I was full.

A barber store in the middle of the popular restaurant.

The barber must be embarrassing.

Continue to Taiwan -day 2- Taipei/Tainan.

The mountains in Hakuba are covered with the snow nicely.

The full colored leaves at the village.

And the beautiful view from Hakuba to Matsumoto.

Arrived at the trail.

The first ride.

Such a beautiful trees.

Mt. Jonendake is in our sight.

It reminds us the nice trekking in September.

Then the second ride.

We enjoyed the second ride, but.....

I hit my left shoulder to a tree when I was riding nicely and fast.
I could not move just after the hit.
There are nice curves after it, but I could not lean my body to the front and I had to push the bike almost all the way.

Then I saw a doctor and took an x-ray photo.
The doctor said it is the fracture of clavicle.
The fracture was not shown clearly in the photo, then I will be recovered if I don't move arms.

I have to put a corset.

I have never got fracture before, which was shock to me, but it was good I don't have to take any surgery.

Now I just wait for the recovery.

There are some difficulties to fasten a seat belt, press CTRL+C keys, etc.

Today's route

The leaves are colored in the village.

Hakuba summits are not in my sight.

I was running in a good pace.

There are many people were taking photos at the saddle with the sight of Hakuba Summits.

But summits were not in my sight.

Arriving at Shirasawa pass in 39 minutes.

I missed the best lap only one minute.
I thought I was doing better today.

I could not see the summits but the leaves were beautiful.

Descending with taking pictures of colored leaves.

Nice atmosphere.

Also nice view of Himekawa river.

It is good for a bicycle to stop to take pictures easily.

Hamburger for lunch at the village festival.
